What do you think of when you think of education?

Many of you probably think of “learning something”.

Many of you probably think of “expensive”…or maybe “boring”.

Also, is it necessary for a computer science student to have to take a “world history” course? “bettering you career opportunities”

Yes, traditional school can do this. But only if you apply yourself when you get out of school. Getting education is one thing, but actually getting a job and utilizing your education is another thing. A prestigious university can often times open your doors more than a normal university, thus putting everyone on a different playing level based on where they got their education alone. Does this have merits? While there were a lot of executives form Harvard that led to the economic downturn that we are currently going through…and there are a lot of companies that are continuing to flourish in the down economy despite the fact that they got their education from a college…or in the case of companies like Apple, dropped out of college.

Have You Made $1 Yet?

Hi,

I have a quick question for you; “Are you making money online right now?” If your answer is yes, this is great. You obviously have recognized the opportunity that lies within Internet Marketing. For those of you that are not making money online, I think I can give you some insight into why some people make money online, and why some people don’t.

Looking back, I was able to come up with a few reasons why I have become successful with Internet Marketing and business in general. This will give you an idea what I did to become successful, and give you the obvious path that you can follow to reach your own success.

1. I started with a very small budget. By small, I do not mean $100/day. I didn’t have a lot of money and had to work with literally a $2-5/day advertising budget. This is not my budget now, but before I started, I had to be very calculated with my decision making and had to implement some other free techniques that I learned at Wealthy Affiliate.com and through research online. I truly believe that you can grow a business organically within Internet Marketing, meaning that you would dump ALL of our profits right back into advertising. As your advertising budgets grow, so will your overall revenue Start off slow, and become bigger once you have a greater understanding of why people buy online, and how to sell to these people.

2. I understand the value of keyword and market research. Do I make this money because I am better than you? Absolutely not! I make money because I spend a large majority of my time doing the dirty work that many avoid doing: researching and analyzing industries and competition. By constructing a marketing agenda prior to selling (doing your research), you are much more likely to succeed. DO YOUR RESEARCH!

3. Never quit! There have been days where I have been ready to pack up the computer, shut down my advertising campaigns, and put an end to Internet marketing all together. So why did I continue? Well, there is an endless opportunity that I saw in Internet Marketing, and just because I had a bad day, or even a bad week, I could not let my emotions overpower the desire to become successful. I can tell you that I am glad I stuck with it!

If you can follow these three main points, you are going to be further ahead than most of other Internet Marketers out there. I truly believe that anyone can become a success online. If someone like me who came into this industry with weak Internet related skills, and not a lick of marketing knowledge, anyone can do it. Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise.

You will need to research keywords and the average Cost Per Click (CPC) over an industry before you begin promoting it. Some industries have thousands of keywords, while some are so specific that only have a handful of keywords. A smaller industry can convert just as well as a large one, so don’t be fooled by industries with keywords and low traffic.

4. Find High Return On Investment (ROI) Affiliate Programs.

The last research step is to find suitable affiliates merchants within the industry that you want to promote. There are many affiliate networks that have thousands of affiliate programs across different industries. These include:

-CJ.com (Commission Junction)
-Linkshare.com
-ClickBank.com

If you are promoting products through a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) engine such as Google Adwords or Yahoo! Marketing, you will need to make sure that the affiliate program will pay high enough to make it profitable. You typically want to stick to programs that pay over $15/commission. Alternately you can join a program like Wealthy Affiliate.com and use their recommendations on products that they have tested.

5. Start an Advertising Campaign

Once you find a product that you want to sell, you’ll want to create an Advertising program for it. We suggest promoting the product using Google Adwords or Yahoo! Marketing as these are the highest converting Pay-Per-Click (PPC) engines available.
